The City Council decided to grant a grace period of EUR 1,250,000 (qualification 28.2.2022 § 16) and EUR 1,500,000 (qualification 30.10.2023 § 73) for loans granted to Outokumpu Regional Industrial Village Ltd. for installments due in 2026. The loan period will be extended by one year for both loans.

The meeting heard expert presentations on the ARVI project and From the City of Outokumpu's communications report for 2025.

The council discussed Miia-Mari Koponen and other councillors to review the operational conditions of civil protection shelters and to guide the residents on the 72-hour preparedness recommendation. The City Council noted the response received and noted that the initiative had been completed. The response stated that the condition of civil protection shelters in city-owned properties is monitored regularly and that information on preparedness is provided in cooperation with the authorities. The meeting also proposed organizing an event on preparedness in the near future.

In addition, the council discussed the initiative of the Outokumpu City Council group on city letters. The decision was made that no physical capital letters would be built. The city will organize a survey or ideas competition to involve local actors and residents in developing ideas.
